Ski Review: Facet Regulator 171 (2018-2019)

(Left - to Right) Facet Regulator, Facet Porkchop, Facet Prospector

Mike and Joe Migliorino started Facet Skis back in 2012 and have been releasing their skis to the public since last year.  We got the chance to ride three of their designs for a few weeks in a variety of snow conditions and found these guys are making some really fun, really effective skis to fit nearly any skier's needs.  The first review we're releasing is of the Facet Regulator, a limited-edition park-n-play twintip for the frontside with a surfy, playful, poppy personality.

You can ski these all day and goof around on pretty much any surface and terrain you can find.  Plenty of tip and tail rocker mean this ski pivots and pops without effort, and has lots of energy on-tap to be quick-quick-quick with directional changes.  The short effective edge means they have a speed limit, but these are for park and play, not ripping GS-like arcs at warp speeds (wait for the review of the Porkchop if you want a comp-like trench digger for high-powered pressure situations).
